This is the interview we did about the Facebook tutorial. Pretty cool - it was like being a guest on a radio show. I can't believe the photo they chose of me though (on IBM's podcast page), I look like a smug turtle.

And we're published!

I just got word that my first publication, a tutorial on writing Facebook applications using Java and PHP, was made the top piece on IBM developerWorks. Part 1 introduces the reader to Facebook and the components of Facebook application development, and also walks the reader through the installation of the various IBM tools used in the tutorial.

Parts 2 and 3 will provide an introduction to many subjects for both Java and PHP developers, especially developers that have used one technology but not the other, about how to use the two in parallel to develop a complete Facebook application.

I also just did a phone interview about the piece for a podcast on IBM's site. I'll post that when it's up, some time later today I think. I had to send a headshot for it, and was very tempted to go with the shot of me in the kilt.
